Disassembly has begun. An NOS LT1 hood and original front have been located and are now in our shop.

1/11/2006
The body is prepped for removal.

1/12/2006
The body is now removed providing full access to the frame.

1/13/2006
The frame will be taken apart.

The chassis components are now being rebuilt.

1/25/2006
The Chassis is clean, ready for reconstruction.

The Front end is now being prepped.

The headlight assemblies are completely disassembled and glass beaded. The hood is being prepped for gelcoat.

2/6/2006
The headlight assemblies are now restored. The hood is prepared on the underside.

2/13/2006
The new front is being brought back into shape.

2/14/2006
The work continues to get the replacement front into shape.

2/15/2006
The frame is undergoing straightening then will receive a new front section.

2/16/2006
The areas where the frame is connected have inserts welding to the inside which reinforce the attaching area.

The completed repair is undetectable.

While the frame repair which was ground was done using a MIG weld, the visible areas are welded using ERA correct ARC welds. This retains the factory appearance thus making the job further undetectable. The first image shows an original weld that has been sandblasted and the repair weld after de-slagging.
