Special clamps are used for all panel attachment, just like
they were assembled originally.

This 1962 received a new upper surround panel correctly
installed at the factory seams.

All bare fiberglass and panels are resurfaced using the original catalyzed gel coat process. This is the only way to positively seal the fiberglass.

Another unique step that we use is to coat the newly applied gel
coat with a poly vinyl coating to allow the gel coat to dry in the absence of air. This
prevents any moisture from working it's way into the gel coat.
The gel coated body is allowed to dry in the absence of
ambient air for six to twelve hours and can then be sanded.
This 66 had a new upper surround and then the entire front end
is gel coated.
After the PVA coating is washed off, the surface is then guide
coated with a dark tracer color.
The entire surface is block sanded. This process is then
repeated with a smoother grit sand paper.
